He’s back with that noisy spitty thing and this new calf was lucky not to get chewed up. Twolegs might be stupid but he was looking AND seeing today. Often he looks but does not see as far as we can make out.

Any way he has been battering the bracken which is probably a good thing as Mum says it can get as high as bull’s horns and no grass will grow under it. The thistles are well bashed too.

Where he was doing it first is now nice and green and we spend a lot of our time grazing that grass, it is so much sweeter when it is short.

It has been very sunny and hot but it rained last night and today which is quite nice.

Some of the uncles were getting a bit grumpy with the heat and we calves had to keep out of the way. There have been a few fights and some of the uncles have a few scrapes on them which look really cool. I’ll have a few of them myself one day and I’ll dish a few out, you just wait and see.
