(From 4th November until 10th November inclusive):

7 DAYS A WEEK – TOURS AT: 10.00am and 11.30am

**PLEASE NOTE: Tours leave promptly. Please arrive at the Visitor Pavilion at least 10 minutes before your tour time**

The Cattle Park is open for tours on Bank Holidays during the season.

IT IS ADVISED THAT ALL TOURS SHOULD BE PRE-BOOKED VIA THE “BOOK NOW” BUTTON ON THIS PAGE. Tours are currently restricted to 20 people only, so pre-booking will avoid any possible disappointment.

You will be transported to the start of your tour in our passenger trailer, along a country track and through the woods, where you might see Red Squirrels, Roe and Fallow Deer or Green Woodpeckers. The trailer is not well sprung and is not recommended for the elderly, injured or pregnant. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of staff. There will then be a short walk from the vehicle to the Cattle Park entrance, where you will begin your walking tour with the Warden.

It is likely that you will not have to walk far, but some days, depending on where they are grazing, there will be a bit of a stroll in order to get close to the cattle. How close will depend on the mood of the cattle and will be at the Warden’s discretion.

Don’t forget to check our What To Wear page!

Wheelchairs can access the Visitor Pavilion but are not suitable in the Cattle Park, due to the gradient and uneven terrain. However, subject to staff availability and with a minimum of 24 hours notice, the Warden will be happy to show you around in one of our off-road vehicles, if suitable. Please note that this vehicle can only accommodate two visitors.

Please phone 01668 215250 or email [email protected] to enquire.

WILD CATTLE CAR PARKING

There is only one parking area for your Wild Cattle Tour which is on the track just past St Peter’s Church. A member of staff will be on hand to meet you at the newly constructed Visitor Pavilion, where quirky souvenirs are for sale.

The Cattle Park and Visitor Pavilion normally open before Easter and remain open 7 days a week through to the 3rd November.

Please note that dogs, including guide and assistance dogs, are not allowed into the Cattle Park. This is because the response of wild cattle, to dogs of any size, can be unpredictable.
