MORE RESEARCH AT CHILLINGHAM PARK

We are always keen to welcome researchers to Chillingham Park and it is used for research projects on an almost continuous basis. The most recent project was carried out by Newcastle University and was looking into agro-forestry.

Depicted is a sensor, which measured wind speed, temperature and a few other things too! They were placed in the open and in areas of varying tree canopy cover, with the vegetation also being assessed. We await the final results.

At the 2022 AGM, our then Chairman, Professor Stephen Hall, came up with rather an outstanding statistic. Apparently, in the last two years, research carried out at Chillingham had been quoted or referenced in over one thousand scientific papers!

Despite all the work that has been done, there is still plenty to learn about the Cattle and their Park, so do get in touch if you would like to carry out some research.
