October Road Diversion

Yesterday, 18th October, Northumberland County Council began work on the Alnwick/Eglingham – Chillingham road. It will be closed until 28th October, but there is a simple diversion in place.
It is closed at Harehope gardens, where you can turn left and cut through to the A697. Turn right onto the A697 and take the second right, which is signed to the Chillingham Cattle. That road can, with one right turn, take you straight to Chillingham. Or else you will come into Chatton and you just need to turn right to Chillingham.
Do please leave an extra 15 minutes for your journey time as we would hate you to miss your tour!
