March for the dull and sober.

As we move towards the end of our visitor season, there really is no better time to visit Chillingham Park. The bracken has already turned and the birch are yellow. Any day now the beech will take on their autumn colours and the whole Park will be a riot of bronzes and golds.

The cattle are resplendent having put on considerable weight over the summer. The bulls are feisty and there is a-bulling aplenty. Add to that the bellowing of the Fallow bucks, for the rut is now in full swing, and the result is rather magical.

The Park is open to visitors until October 31st. After that date, specialist tours are still available by arrangement with the Warden.
