The others are banging on about how mild it is this winter. They also say it was mild last winter too. I think they are just pulling my leg again. It is always mild and this is a bog standard winter. All this guff about deep snow and nothing to eat except Twoleg’s rolls of dried grass is all rubbish. I am not stupid. They’ll get the hang of it in the end.

Some of the aunts and uncles like to stand in the sun in the early mornings to warm up – softies but they have to be in a part of the park that the sun shines on first and as the sun comes up behind a hill behind us most of our park is in the shade until nearly the middle of the day.

Funny old thing, the sun, as the year has gone by it rises later and from a slightly different place each time and the same for going down but I think it has decided to stick around this  rising and falling place for quite a few days now. Perhaps it has changed its mind and going to go back to where it used to get up. I would not mind if it did, mooching about in the dark for ages is only so much fun.
