2026 CHILLINGHAM WILD CATTLE ASSOCIATION AGM 10TH JULY

This year’s AGM is set to take place on the 10th July in the Minstrel’s Gallery in Chillingham Castle, by kind permission of Sir Humphry Wakefield. Lunch will be served at 1.00pm with the actual AGM beginning at 2.00pm. Please could all those Members planning to attend book their lunch asap. Lunch can be booked here.

After the formal business of the AGM, we will hear from Jim Brightman of Moor and Vale Heritage Consulting. Jim has spent some time compiling a report of the archaeology of the Cattle Park and also the wider environment in which it sits. Although some aspects of the history of the Park are self evident, many features will have been lost in the mists of time, but can now be uncovered using the latest technology. It should be a fascinating talk.

Prof Stephen Hall will be in attendance at the AGM and has kindly offered to undertake one of his very, very informative tours of the Park the following day. Stephen has been involved at Chillingham since the 1970s and nobody knows more about the Cattle and their Park. You can book on the tour here.
