I don’t know what is going on but it is a lot cooler and sometimes there is this funny crispy stuff on the grass in the mornings. We have had a lot more rain too and more rain means more mud. More mud seems to be just what the uncles want – dirty devils, smearing their faces in it. I don’t get it. Why do they do it? Apart from looking fiercer, I can’t see the point of it. We all know who it is under the mess so they are not fooling anyone, it is not much of a disguise.
When I get bigger I am going to be the whitest bull around, none of this mud lark for me, just you wait and see.
Wylde the calf at Chillingham (not covered in mud or anything else for that matter).
