We have a new group of young bulls in the park now. Ellie Waddington, our warden calls them ‘The Hoodies’ as they have forgotten their manners and have little respect for their elders. They have been seen challenging older bulls, but not quite daring to put the hoof in. If the Wild Cattle had a rutting season life might be easier for them because they would know when to get seriously involved. As it is, they breed all year round, so any day, a cow could come into season and all mayhem may break loose again …
